Is there anyone in music that Jack White respects? It sure doesn’t seem like it.

In between songs during his set in Boston last night, White starts out by bitching about how no one uses microphones with chords anymore, to which I respond, “Who gives a fuck?”

He then takes on the Foo Fighters, saying they cover up their mistakes by using more than one guitar. You know, like basically every band ever.

I wish someone could cover up for Jack White’s mistakes by giving him more than one mouth: one that says wise, measured, things with the perspective worthy of the genius he unquestionably possesses and the one that he has now.

I’m calling it now: rehab and citing “stress” as the reason for all this crazy in about t-minus 60 days.

Life Is Beautiful Festival announced their 2014 lineup up today, and Kanye, Foo Fighters, Outkast are set to headline. Kanye will be following headline performances at Bonnaroo and Outside Lands, while Outkast has recently headlined pretty much every festival in America, and will also be making an appearance at Treasure Island Festival in San Francisco. It’s a pretty spectacular lineup, though, with Skrillex, The Flaming Lips, and Arctic Monkeys on the second line, anyone of whom could be a headliner. Lionel Richie is a nice touch too. With their block party format, it’s looking like it’s gonna be a great time. Good chance I’ll be there.
