Australian up-and-comer Iggy Azalea had some technical difficulties at the start of her performance on Dancing With the Stars last night.
“I’m so sorry, but there’s something wrong with my ears,” the pop-star said after starting a verse early. The mistake became apparent when the backtrack came in a measure later.
It should be noted, however, that she was actually singing her verses, and the backtrack only contained backup vocal parts.
After ditching her ear piece, she recovered gracefully and absolutely slayed with co-creator Charli XCX.
I have to say, given the choice between someone lip syncing an entire performance or taking the chance that something goes wrong like this but actually sings live, I’ll take the real performance any day.
