Sam Smith continues his unblemished lifetime streak of making awesome songs.

The 22-year old took to the BBC 1 to cover the 1988 Tracy Chapman classic, “Fast Car.”

It’s deeper, bass driven, more rhythmic, modernized, and soulful — everything we’ve come to expect from a good Sam Smith track.

There may come a day when I get sick of this guy. That day is not today.

The surprises keep coming from Jack White on his Lazaretto tour.

After covering Jay Z’s “99 Problems” at a recent stop, the reigning king of the blues covered New Zealand pop-princess Lorde’s chart topper, but with a decidedly Whitean touch.

At the same stop, he brought a fan on stage to play Seven Nation Army with the band. Looks like White might be doing a little community outreach after the recent spate of bad press.
